The ‘digital’ evolution to Harris’ earlier Shimmer, Digital Shimmer continues the same fascination with colour studies and movements, however this time through electronic control.
A continuously evolving palate of colours move around and inside the mathematically designed circular geometries. Highly controlled hidden lighting synthesises an endless variation of colours creating new studies and combinations that create shifts in perception for the viewer. At times, the physical form appears to warp and twist, and the central sphere will appear to vanish before re-emerging from a coloured shadow.
