Designed to engage with the tech-savvy and design-oriented delegates at the two-day event held in London’s ExCeL Centre, the interactive installation became the iconic landmark of the summit.
A multi-layered musical score, which was driven in real-time by the viewers’ movements and their resultant on-screen colourful graphics, provided added dimensions to the experience.
From the large video canvas, the colours continued their journey upwards across the expansive array of suspended LED cubes that meandered across the exhibition halls.
The overall installation was as technically ambitious as its visual output. The high-resolution LED video wall and the video tiles within the floor were driven by real-time particle simulations and shader programming controlled by the 3D camera. A further 2,500 channels of Arnet-DMX and 610 RGBW cubes were driven by a notional colour bleed of the screen content, pushing colour up through the array of cubes that were suspended from the ceiling above.
From the moment guests entered the Summit, the trail of movement of colour was apparent and drew each individual through the exhibits, creating an awe-inspiring addition to the fantastic event.
